15、第 15 章

　　To the left of the attraction, on a short set of steps leading up to the entrance, there were a number of food courts. Each table was adorned with rows upon rows of plastic chairs where children eagerly waited for their turn to ride the ride.
　　A woman wearing a black dress and heels stepped forward, smiling brightly. She reached into her pocket and took out a slip of paper, handing it to Dean. He glanced at it briefly before handing it back to her, saying nothing. However, when she returned with the money for a ride from one of the rides, Dean turned to Castiel and grabbed hold of his hand firmly. With a smile, Castiel intertwined their fingers and squeezed gently as he followed Dean toward the line for the ride.
　　By the time they reached their seats, most of the lines have moved closer to the front, so both boys found themselves seated directly in front of the large screen which displayed Minnie Mouse in the act of jumping off a boat. After paying their tickets, they found their own ride. Once seated, they glanced at each other and chuckled quietly.
　　"So what should we start with first?" Dean asked.
　　Castiel shrugged.
　　"Whatever you want," he replied. "As long as we get to spend time together."
　　Dean smiled slightly, nodding. He then pushed himself up from the seat and stood up. Without another word, he dragged Castiel up along with him, walking towards their ride. Once there, Dean picked up a pair of earbuds and inserted them into his ears before placing his headphones onto Castiel's ears. They were soon submerged in music and were completely surrounded by colorful lights and sounds.
　　They laughed loudly at every jump scare, every high pitched scream, and every drop of water that threatened to splash onto their faces.
　　After a while, they eventually reached the top. Neither of them commented on what was on screen, nor did they notice when the characters started to grow larger. Instead, they focused on the view below them, watching as the scenery flew by quickly.
　　After several more jumps, the two boys were able to catch their breath. They looked over to the side and spotted two small kids sitting together nearby who were also in awe at the sight above them.
　　Dean smiled warmly.
　　"How are you feeling, little buddy?" he said.
　　"Awesome," the boy responded enthusiastically.
　　"Yeah, I could tell."
　　The two boys watched on quietly until it came time to exit the ride. The boy standing closest to Dean leaned in and gave him a friendly pat on the back.
　　"Thanks for going on it with me," he remarked.
　　"You're welcome," replied Dean. "We should hang out again sometime."
　　"Definitely!"
　　The boy's friend grinned excitedly and then ran off happily. Dean turned around and looked towards Cas. He grinned and held out his hand. Castiel took hold of it and pulled himself up, allowing himself to be helped onto his feet.
　　"Ready for some fun?" Dean smirked.
　　"Lead the way, Dean," Castiel replied, grinning as well.
　　Sam couldn' t move; he felt frozen in place. As hard as he tried, he simply could not find any words to express what he was feeling. The last thing he remembered doing was getting drunk with Dean and Bobby and talking about how he missed home. Then everything went dark. But why didn't he wake up? What happened to him?
　　Dean stood staring at Sam with worry written all over his face. He wanted to say something, but couldn't bring himself to speak a single word.
　　Then Sam woke up.
　　It was late in the evening when everyone finally finished packing up their belongings and headed back to the house. The sun was setting outside as the Winchesters entered the house. Charlie and Jo were already in bed and John was still downstairs reading. Castiel went upstairs and changed into a pair of pajama pants, and laid down in his bed. His mind was racing with questions. He didn't know what to do.
