　　After a while, the door opens slightly, revealing the face of Nanny Zhang. When she sees Xuan Huaifeng standing at the door, she immediately smiles and greets him politely, " Welcome back,young master! Do come in, it's windy outside.Mrs. Nian has been eagerly waiting for you.
　　一会儿大门就开了一条缝，露出张妈熟悉的脸，一瞧见宣怀风站在门口，顿时笑得眼睛眯起来，殷勤地叫起来，「小少爷回来了！快进来，外面风大。小姐正在里面伸长脖子等着你呢。」
　　（译者注：伸长脖子是虚写，因为人不可能像长颈鹿一样伸缩脖子，所以不需要直译出来。）

　　Nanny Zhang is a senior maid who accompanied Xuan Daiyun to the Nian family since Xuan Daiyun married. She has been taking care of the Xuan siblings since their childhood.
　　张妈是陪着宣代云一起过门到年家的老妈子，从小看着宣家姐弟长大。
　　（译者注：过门这个说法国外没有，所以直接翻译成“陪着”，宣家姐弟，也没有这种说法，不会翻译成xuan family siblings）

　　In the years when Xuan Daiyun married Nian Fuliang, the concept of "new - style weddings" hadn't emerged yet, and traditional wedding customs were still in vogue. With a red wedding veil covering her face, Xuan Daiyun stepped into the bridal sedan, while Nanny Zhang walked alongside it.
　　宣代云嫁给年亮富那几年，还没新式婚礼这个词，依旧流行那一套老传统，宣代云披红头巾上花轿时，张妈就是跟在花轿旁的陪嫁老妈子。
　　（译者注：虽然这里写的是红头巾，直译是headscarf，但是这个语境是指红盖头，查了一下美国婚庆公司主页，遮住面孔的头纱，用的是wedding veil这种说法。）

　　Madame Xuan died at a young age. Since Nanny Zhang had remained unmarried throughout her life, she treated the Xuan siblings as if they were her own children.Upon seeing Xuan Huaifeng, her delight knew no bounds. Her wrinkled face broke into a beaming smile, and she grasped Xuan Huaifeng's sleeve to usher him in.
　　宣太太去世得早，张妈一辈子没嫁人，就把宣代云宣怀风看成自己生养的，见到宣怀风比看见谁都高兴，脸上的皱纹全笑得打褶了，拉着宣怀风的袖子就往里头送。
　　（译者注：脸上的皱纹全笑得打褶了这句最难翻译，我仍然觉得这个翻译不太好，但是能力有限...就这样吧
　　宣太太指的是宣怀风和宣代云姐弟的母亲，为了和宣小姐也就是年太太区别，这里用Madame，而不是Mrs）

　　翻译这么几句话修修改改，查阅资料，用了两个半小时，orz，翻译真难。

　　——最无益，莫过一日曝十日寒。
