6、星期五 七月十二日 Darcy

　　今早我收到Georgiana的信，她的信活泼亲切，我颇满意自己将她送到海岸的做法。她安全抵步，便给我写了她住这房子的乐趣。如下：

　　“比起我在伦敦的大宅，这里的房子较小，可是十分舒适，而且有优美海景。今天下午，我和Mrs Younge去了海滩，因为我很渴望画张海岸的素描，当我画完就寄给你。

　　你温柔的妹妹Georgiana上”

　　我摺起她的信，将这封信和她之前寄来的信，一同放在书桌比较。这几年来，她的书法和文风皆有极大进步。不过，坦白来说，虽然她以前的信的书法和串字都一塌糊涂，可是读起来却有魅力。

　　当我重读她的信，我回忆我曾多么担心她在女校过得不愉快，但我不须再忧心了。她喜欢她的老师，更在那里结识不少好朋友。我打算建议她邀请其中一位朋友，陪她在伦敦度过秋天。因为若我去帮Bingley参详房子，我就须找人陪伴她。

I can't disagree with 鲁鲁饭 anymore, Mr. Darcy is a gentlemen, he takes care of his sister and friends attentively!
I am satisfied with the translation of this sentence-“She has made a great deal of progress, both in her handwriting and in style of her letter, over the last few years.”
