2、The Great Wall

　　In the course of thousands of years of development, each country has formed its own unique landscape and historical sites, such as the Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum in France, Big Ben in Britain and so on. These shining cultural landscapes are not only the precious spiritual wealth of mankind, but also the symbol of the spirit of a country and a nation. In China, the Great Wall, the seventh wonder of the world, is such an important place of interest. There are three main reasons why the Great Wall has such an important historical position.
　　First of all, the Great Wall is of great historical significance to the Chinese nation. The Great Wall has a long history. The history of the Great Wall can be traced back to the Xi Zhou Dynasty, when the famous story of \"war drama leud\" took place. During the Qin Dynasty, Ying Zheng continued to build the Great Wall and joined several sections together to form the Great Wall. People still extended he Wall during the Ming Dynasty as military defense, and much of what we see today was built during this time. The Great Wall is not just a wall, but a comprehensive military defense system with walls as the main body. At that time, the Great Wall effectively blocked the enemy\'s attack and protected the people\'s safety. Now we can still feel the wisdom of the ancient Chinese laboring people by touching the mottled Great Wall.

　　Besides, the magnificence of the Great Wall makes it attractive to tourists from home and abroad. The charm of the Great Wall lies in its grandeur. The Great Wall stretches from east to west across ten provinces, with a total length of 8,851.8 kilometers. It winds majestically through deserts and mountains, like a dragon in the east.
　　Furthermore, the Great Wall is the symbol of the national spirit of the China. \"He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man\" fully embodies the determination and perseverance of the Chinese people. It is hard to imagine how our ancestors built this long Oriental dragon gradually by their own hands in the ancient times when science and technology were very backward. Just standing under the Great Wall, we can feel the resilience of the Chinese nation. The Great Wall symbolizes national defense and national unity, although the original function of the Great Wall was to ward off the attack of Huns. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Great Wall inspired the Chinese people to rise up and defend their country as a symbol of resistance against enemy forces in the minds of the Chinese people. The lyrics of the national anthem of the People\'s Republic of China, \"Build our flesh and blood into our new Great Wall,\" fully reflect the Great Wall\'s inspirational role.
　　The historical significance, grandeur and spiritual value of the Great Wall make it so important. It has become a treasure of the Chinese nation and a wonder of the world.
