6、Chapter 5: Work

　　"Although I didn't graduate from a prestigious university, I consistently ranked first in my class and never fell behind. Moreover, I'm confident I can do the job as a general manager assistant. As an experienced HR, I understand your concerns about my limited experience since I've just graduated. However, I hope your esteemed company can allow me to prove myself. Nothing is set in stone in life, and perhaps I could be that exception."

　　While the title of general manager assistant might only play an assistant role, she would deal with confidential information daily. Additionally, it allowed her to learn the knowledge she was eager to acquire.

　　总经理助理虽然只是一个助理，但是接触都是私密性文件和公司最机密的文件信息。并且可以学到很多她想学的知识。

　　Most importantly, she was confident she could do the job well, so she had set her sights on it. As for the receptionist position, she was not considering it at all. It's not her stage. She wasn't meant to be one in this life.

　　最重要的是她有这个信心可以把这份工作给做好，所以她才把目标定在了这个职位上。

　　前台文员这个职位她顾湘绝不考虑，那不是她的舞台，与她今生无缘。

　　She disagreed that 'Students should adjust the mentality of a good employment and reduce their employment expectations, we should be employed first, and then find another good job.' It seemed unwise to her.

　　所谓的大学生应该调整好就业心态，降低自己的就业期望，实行先“就业”再“择业”就业思维这个观点她并不认同，她认为这是不明智的。

　　How many people have been deceived by this suggestion?

　　先就业再择业到底骗了多少人呀？

　　Many highly talented individuals go straight into a job that fits their aspirations. Everyone is racing against time, but time is limited, with only 24 hours in a day. Sacrificing health by working day and night is not wise and will eventually lead to a tragic end.

　　很多高层次人才都是就业择业一步到位，就是要先进一个自己满意的单位。

　　人生路上，谁都在和时间赛跑，只是每个人的时间都是有限的，一天只有24小时。所谓废寝忘食过劳过累的那种努力不会长久，以健康为赌注输是必然结果,且很可能结局是悲剧的。

　　Therefore, when choosing a job, one must be cautious. Those who can stand on top of the pyramid and view the world will not act the same as ordinary people, changing jobs frequently. As their age advances, the distance to get into good company increases, and eventually, there's no possibility of getting in.

　　所以在择业的选择上就要慎重再慎重，能站到金字塔上看世界的人决不会像普通人这样在职场中到处跳来跳去频繁的换工作，离好单位随着自身的年龄的增大是越来越远了，最后再也没有可能进去了。

　　On the other hand, some are determined to enter a good company from the beginning. If they fail this time, they will continue their education until they achieve their goal. The words of those who mislead people are meant for those without precise career planning or strong opinions or are still ignorant.

　　而人家从源头上就是想尽千方百计一定要先进一个好单位，这次进不去继续学业来实现曲线救国路线，直到能进入自己满意的单位为止。

　　那些忽悠人的话都是来忽悠这些没有明确的职业规划和不是太有主见的人的，或者自身还处在无知的阶段。

　　When everyone works hard, aimlessly changing jobs will deplete one's strength, and they will be the first to be eliminated.

　　当大家都很努力时，乱蹦哒就会自我消耗些实力，然后就是第一个被淘汰出局的对象。
