  • Suddenly, a thought occurred to him.
"Wait!" he gasped. "If they are both pissed at each other, does that mean that Bobby's going to be even madder at me? I guess I should have told Bobby to stay out of it. If he's still pissed off enough to try and kill me..."
"Don't stress yourself over it right now, Cas," Dean interrupted. "Everything is going to work out eventually."
"How can you be so confident?" Castiel inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, if you didn't want anyone else to find out about us, then why did you ask Bobby to keep your secret? There has to be a reason."
Castiel sighed deeply as he looked down at his lap.
"I don't know," he admitted. "I honestly didn't plan anything like that, okay?"
      Dean gave a small smile.
"I know," he said, shaking his head slowly. "But it worked, didn't it?"
"Yeah," Castiel murmured in response, unable to conceal the smile that crept over his face. "It did."
A moment later, Castiel turned his head to face Dean again.
"So," he said, smiling broadly. "Where are we heading now, Dean?"
"Well, I think it's best if we take a taxi," Dean replied.
"A taxi?" Castiel repeated. "Are you crazy? I don't know how to drive. I'd probably crash the damn thing."
Dean frowned, a hint of disappointment flashing across his features.
"That's why you have me to teach you, Cas," he explained. "I'll pick you up whenever you want and we'll get to Disneyland. And I'll take care of everything."
      "You promise?"
      Dean nodded.
      "Promise."
With a smile, Castiel leaned forward and kissed Dean gently on the cheek. Dean blushed furiously at the sudden affectionate gesture.
"Thank you, Dean," he murmured softly.
Dean smiled and returned the kiss on Castiel's forehead.
"You're welcome," he replied before leaning over to open the passenger door of the car. He helped Castiel get inside and then climbed inside himself. He pulled away from the airport parking lot and drove down the road.
After a few minutes passed, Castiel spoke.
"Do you really think Bobby will accept me?" he asked quietly.
"Of course he will," Dean assured him. "He'll be furious if he knows that I took you on my first day."
      Castiel laughed lightly.
"I bet you're right," he said amused.
Castiel then fell silent once again. A few moments later, Dean glanced over at his friend. Castiel stared blankly out the window. The older Winchester frowned and reached over, placing his hand on Castiel's knee.
"Hey," he said softly. "Cas. You okay?"
Castiel lifted his gaze briefly, but quickly dropped it again.
      "Fine," he lied. "Just thinking."
Dean didn't reply immediately. He studied Castiel closely. He wanted to ask questions, he wanted to ask Castiel what was troubling him, but he knew that the younger boy wouldn't be able to answer any of those questions for a long while yet. Instead, he decided to keep quiet and focus his attention on driving to Disneyland.
As the two boys made their way through the parking garage, neither of them noticed that a couple of security guards who were walking past them had stopped dead in their tracks. The two officers exchanged glances before exchanging a knowing look. One of them nudged his colleague and mouthed 'what the hell are they doing together?' The officer shrugged, but then pointed towards the elevator. Without hesitation, the two men approached the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor.
In no more than five seconds, the elevator doors opened, revealing Dean and Castiel. Dean stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for the top floor. The two guards entered the elevator and soon the doors closed once again.
"So what are we doing now?" Castiel asked.
"We're getting something to eat," Dean replied calmly. "Then I'm taking you back home. Then I'm driving Bobby to California."
Dean sat back in his seat and crossed his arms over his chest, trying to ignore Castiel's constant shifting on the seat beside him. Castiel had his knees tightly hugged to his chest, his elbows resting on top of them. His fingers fidgeted with each other as he kept his eyes staring aimlessly ahead. He looked extremely uncomfortable. This was completely unlike Castiel. Not only was he usually calm and collected, but when something bothered him, Castiel would usually bounce back rather fast.
"Hey," Dean spoke up gently. "What's wrong?"
      "Nothing's wrong," Castiel muttered.
Dean scoffed lightly, shaking his head.
"No one says that kind of thing when something's bothering them," he stated matter of factly.
      Castiel raised an eyebrow.
"Really? Because according to your logic, it makes perfect sense to lie when someone asks a question that could potentially upset you. You just don't understand me well enough."
Castiel leaned forward and rested his chin on his hands.
"Okay, Castiel. What's up?" Dean questioned.
"I just...don' t wanna be around people right now."
"Okay. So what do you wanna do instead?"
"Actually," Castiel said, "I'd like to go to a movie. Anything is fine with me."
      "Alright."
      Castiel couldn't sleep.
His mind swam with thoughts. First, he was worried about his parents. Then, he was upset that Bobby didn't return to visit him during his stay at the hospital. Finally, he was still a bit upset that he would miss out on being with the Winchesters.
He sighed heavily and shifted in his bed. He rubbed his eyes and stretched, letting out a deep yawn. He looked over at the clock, which read ten thirty PM. As he tried to fall asleep again, he heard a loud knock on his bedroom door. He jumped slightly and then quickly got up to answer it.
When he opened the door, he saw Bobby standing outside.
