108、事故（2） Josia

　　Josia被送进了抢救室。

　　Julia, Dalia, Pukia和黎鸦在门外焦急地等候。

　　Julia：“Did Moonlord know?（月主知道了吗？）”

　　Pukia：“Yeah, he’s praying for her.（知道了，他在为她祈祷。）”

　　Julia：“She needs Moonlord’s power now! Only he can save her! Please tell Moonlord to save her, please!（她需要月主的力量！只有他现在才能救她！请告诉月主救她！求你了！）”

　　Pukia：“He will give his best. We are all praying for her. Dalia, go back now and gather all the girls to pray for Josia. She’s a good girl. She’s going to be OK."（他会尽全力的。我们都在为她祈祷。Dalia你现在就回去，组织所有女孩子们为Josia祈祷。她是一个好孩子，她会没事的。）”

　　Dalia离开了。

　　Julia：“What if someone curses her?! The person who did this would only want her dead! I know not everyone meant it when they said 'congratulations.' I just never thought they would be evil enough to commit such a heinous crime! This is not an accident—this is a f*cking crime! This is a f*cking crime!（要是有人诅咒她怎么办？！凶手就是想要她死！我知道当初她们说‘恭喜’的时候，不是所有人都是真心的。我只是怎么也没想到，她们竟然能恶毒到去犯下这种令人发指的罪行！这不是意外——这是犯罪！这是犯罪！）”

　　Pukia：“OK, we’ll deal with it later. Right now, let’s focus on Josia.（好，这个我们日后再说。现在还是抢救Josia为要。）”

　　医生从抢救室出来。

　　Julia：“How is she? Has she woken up?（她怎么样了？醒过来了吗？）”

　　医生：“There’s a hematoma on the back of her head, but that's not the main threat. When she was brought in, she had already gone without air for too long. We put her on the ventilator, but it’s just the machine breathing for her now.（她的后脑勺有一个血肿，但这不是最要命的。她被送到医院的时候已经窒息太久了。我们现在给她切上了呼吸机，但这会儿其实也只是机器在帮她维持呼吸而已。）”

　　Julia：“Without air? Was she strangled?（窒息？她是被勒了吗？）”

　　医生：“The impact from the fall likely triggered a severe coma. Once comatose, her muscles relaxed completely, causing her tongue to fall back and entirely obstruct her airway. Before we could intubate her, her brain had already gone for a very long time without a single breath of oxygen.（应该是跌落后的撞击导致重度昏迷。昏迷之后，全身肌肉松弛，舌头倒向后方，把气道整个堵死了。在我们给她插管之前，她的大脑已经很长时间没有吸入过一丝氧气了。）”

　　Julia：“So what?! So what does that even mean, doctor?! Are you saying she’s never gonna wake up? Are you telling me my Josie is dead?!（所以呢？所以呢医生你是什么意思？你是说她醒不过来了吗？你是说我的Josie死了吗？）”

　　医生：“She's brain dead. Right now, she only shows vital signs because the machine is running for her.（她已经脑死亡了。只是现在靠着机器才能暂时显现生命体征。）”

　　Julia一下崩溃瘫坐在地上。

　　Julia：“Doctor, do something, please! Can't you save her?! She's pregnant. She's pregnant with Moonlord's child! Please, you have to save them! Please, I beg you, save her! Look at her, she’s not dead yet!（医生，你救救她不行吗？救救她！她还有身孕。她还怀着月主的孩子！您救救她！她不是还没死吗？）”

　　医生：“The damage to her brain cells is massive and completely irreversible. She cannot breathe on her own, and her pupils are fully dilated and unresponsive. Medically and legally speaking, she is gone. The most sensible thing to do now is to say your goodbyes and decide when to pull the plug. It’ll spare her the pain, and save you some money.（她的脑细胞已经发生了广泛性、不可逆的坏死。她没有自主呼吸，瞳孔也已经散大固定。在医学和法律上，她已经是个死人了。现在最理智的做法是和她道别，商量一下什么时候拔管，对她来说少些痛苦，你们也少废些钱。）”

　　Julia伏地大哭起来。黎鸦蹲在她身边，不知道说什么好，只是不断用手摩挲着她的背。

　　Julia：“Doctor, someone did this to her, right?! Someone pushed her from behind! Someone is trying to kill her, they wanted her dead, didn't they?!（医生，有人害她是不是！有人从背后把她推下去的，有人要害她，要置她于死地是不是？！）”

　　医生：“You’ll need to speak with law enforcement and forensics about that. Think over what I just said and make your decision. I have other patients waiting. Excuse me.（这个你要问警察和法医了。刚才我说的你们自己商量商量，我还有其他病人，先走了。）”

　　Pukia：“Thank you, doctor. We appreciate what you've done.（谢谢你，医生，辛苦了。）”

　　医生冲她点了点头就走了。
