"Listen, boy,it's your life, you gotta go and live on your own,you'd never know how the world works if you stayed here with me and old Henry."exclaims Ashley, touching Matt's hair, caressing him.
Since Matt's a grade 7 student, Ashley, Matt's mum plans to send him to study at a university in LA.On the other hand, Matt wanna stay here in the south, where he can drink fresh orange juice and sleep under the sunlight on the canola field for hours.Today is the departure day, where Matt's going to live a brand new life.
"Matt, remember, momma's always in your heart.My sweetheart,you're always in mine too" Ashley is smiling, the freckles on her face was distorted, tears began to fall."Promise me, call me every week, okay?""Deal mum...see you later...it may be a while...I love you" Matt's eyes are squinty and moist, he kissed on Ashley's Cheeks and let go on the hug and walked to the boarding gate.
Ashley waved him goodbye and burst into tears.
Meanwhile, Matt is searching for his seat on the cramped and crowded plane.Managed to find his seat, he realised that his seat is assigned by the window.He took a brief glance at the window and sat down.Uncertainty of the future freaks Matt out, he sighed and took his phone out of his pocket,
"14:14"Under numbers sits a background photo of Ashley and Matt together holding oranges, freshly picked from the fruit farm they've owned.
Matt's eyes became wet again.
Suddenly, a young white man came into the lane of seats which Matt's were.
The man was a little bit shorter than Matt, had turquoise hazel eyes, pink lips and a pointed nose with a round tip and has fair skin.He's wearing a cap and a baseball shirt.
"Hey buddy, is that your stuff?It's blocking my seat, do u mind to move it, I'll really appreciate that."The man smiled, showing his neat and white teeth.His voice is mellow and soft, like the sea breeze that you'll get from the beaches of Cannes.
Stunned by the young man's adorable look, Matt blushes and acts aloof."FINE."Uttered Matt, and took away his stuff robotically.Seems like he's nervous.Well, seemingly, but on the other hand he's staring passionately at the man.Matt's eyes glow with joy and his palms were sweating.All in a sudden the young jock spotted Matt staring at him, his gaze met Matt's for a second.Matt blushes even harder, he immediately took his book out, and blocked his face and eye contact with the young man using the book.
The man smiled and blushes too, he giggled elegantly and sat down, The youthful man then took his cap off, showing his smooth and silky hair.
"It's gonna be a long flight," exclaimed the man, while taking out his blindfold and neck pillow.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard..." announcements emerge suddenly, Matt lifted his head up slightly and listened patiently.Meanwhile, he saw the young man falling asleep and stared at his soft and elastic baby cheeks.Matt lifted his brows and grinned.He had never seen such a unique and cute guy.A few seconds later, Matt frowns and signed.
"I'd never get to know him, would I?"
"Once again, thank you for flying with us, enjoy your flight from Charlotte to Los Angeles.Lastly have a safe and vice trip！”Announcements ended and the airplane's starting its take off run.
Can Matt meet the guy again?Who knows?At least they can be together for 6 hours...
