As with all great techonological revolutions in the past, the rise of the Internet has brought not just benefits but concerts about possible harmful side effects. While many see in it a way of strenghening relationships through greater ease of communication, others fear that social skills will be lost as normal face-to-face interaction declines.Their concern is that a vicious circle may set in,with those unable to cope with the real world retreating further and further away into the virtual one beyond the computer screen.Another anxiety is that wrongdoers may use the Internet to fool others into trusting them.
