This is the best time. This is the worst time.
对Angel和Damon来说，这是心意相通无比甜蜜的一天，对某些人来说嘛……
Caroline的前男友Matt，这个生活在一群狼人吸血鬼女巫中唯一的正常人，也为了自己早逝的妹妹而自杀，被Bonnie救活后，与Jeremy一样，获得了看见鬼魂的能力。
而Bonnie刚刚知道，Jeremy在这两个月里与Anna常常见面的事。
小女巫几乎要暴走了。
开学第一天，Lunch time。
三个女孩聚在一起，Elena拎出来一个巨大的兜，里面各种餐盒。
Bonnie: “What’s this？”
Caroline拿出来一个: “Is this Italian food？ Wow, smells so nice!”
Bonnie: “Stefan cooked all these？”
Elena: “No, Damon.”
Caroline迫不及待的开动，闻言神秘兮兮的笑了: “En…I know what is this all about.”
Bonnie: “What？”
Caroline: “Damon wanted to cook for Angel. Are all these test runs？ It’s really good!”
Elena: “Yes. Stefan said there are at least ten times more still in their refrigerator. He’s still cleaning all the pots.”
Bonnie: “Is Damon trying to get Angel back？”
Caroline: “Yes. The day before yesterday, after Angel’s party, Damon knocked on my door asked about dating.”
Bonnie & Elena: “What？!”
Bonnie: “So he and Angel start dating？”
Caroline: “Maybe. Damon is really serious. I never see him like that before.”
Bonnie: “Yeah. He asked me to send him to Angel’s world when he didn't know...”
Caroline: “Crazy as always.”
Elena低下了头默默吃东西。
食物很香，吃在嘴里却是别的味道。
Bonnie和Caroline八卦Angel和Damon的声音也低了下来，交换了一个尴尬的眼神。
忽然Tyler跳了出来，热情的给了Caroline一个吻。
Caroline刚想露出一个笑容，忽然瞟到Tyler领口一点暗红的印记，顿时瞳孔一缩。
Bonnie: “Is that blood？”
Caroline: “Oh my god.”
女孩们赶紧把Tyler拉进了洗手间。
Caroline濒临炸毛: “Vampire rule 101, never bring your lunch to school!”
Tyler: “Relax, it’s just blood bags.”
Caroline: “From where？”
Tyler: “Rebekah.”
Elena: “Rebekah, why is Rebekah even here？”
Tyler耸了耸肩: “Klaus asked her to keep watch on me, protect his new asset.”
Caroline: “His what! Why are amused by this？”
Tyler: “Caroline I’m Klaus’s first hybrid, isn’t that a little bit cool？”
Caroline目瞪口呆，Bonnie和Elena交换了一个大事不妙的眼神。
Matt则在学校后院跟自己的鬼魂妹妹聊天，被无意路过的Jeremy看到了。Jeremy告诉了Anna，Anna说Vicki跟一个死去的巫师做了交易，她的身边笼罩着的都是黑暗的力量。
Jeremy想把这些告诉Bonnie，可Bonnie却接受不了他仍能见到两位前女友。
Bonnie: “You’re still seeing them？”
Jeremy: “Bonnie, Anna is just trying to help!”
Bonnie: “No, Louis was just trying to help. She is…”剩下的话Bonnie说不出口，只能气愤的摔上locker。
Jeremy: “Bonnie…”
Bonnie平静一下自己的呼吸: “You can decide whether seeing them or not, remember that.”
Bonnie与Jeremy不欢而散，放学后Caroline带领拉拉队活动，Rebekah却不约而至。
两个金发妹子相看两相厌。
Caroline: “You can’t just come here and interfering our life.”
Rebekah高傲的抬起下巴: “Well I’m only interested with your life,your spark,your popularity,”转头看一眼正在进行橄榄球训练的Tyler，得意的笑了, “or your boyfriend.”
两人继续互瞪，火花四溅。
放学后，Matt回到家中，深深吸了一口气，点燃一圈蜡烛，中间摆上自己与妹妹的合影，割破掌心，鲜血滴滴答答的流了下来。
Vicki: “Mattie.”
蜡烛火苗暴涨，Vicki出现在Matt身后。
学校。
Tyler想要早些结束训练，于是compel了教练，Caroline看见后告诉他要低调，Tyler却满不在乎的说: “Drop it Caroline. I’m fine. I’ve never been better. Klaus gave me this…gift.”
Salvatore宅。
Angel靠在床柱上，看着Damon打包东西。
Angel挑眉: “Remind me again, since when I allowed you to move in？”
Damon: “Ok, then you move back.”
Angel: “Hm, I like my place.”
Damon: “I like it too.”
Damon笑着凑过来，Angel不轻不重的给了他一下。
Damon把一些衣物收拾了一个大包放在一边，拉过Angel说: “We haven’t, really talked about it.”
Angel: “About what？”
Damon在床边坐下，握着Angel的手: “You being a vampire…”
Angel明白了，微笑了一下，伸手安抚的摸摸Damon的头。
Damon自嘲的笑笑: “How can you…I mean,you hate being a vampire. Angel, I can’t be that selfish but…”
“Shh…”Angel伸出手指按在他的唇上, “Sometimes when we face some choices along the way. We don’t really know which way is right. But we know, some ways are, not really options. They are not acceptable. Like this one. At that time, I didn’t really know what happened between us, or what I want. I just knew that, I can’t watch you die.” Angel轻轻摇了摇头，“It’s not an option for me.”
虽然早已明白自己对Angel的感情，这一刻Damon仍感觉自己可以更爱他。那双深蓝色的眼睛犹如海洋，沉溺其中，好像自己承受过的所有伤害都会被抚平，所有犯的错误都会被原谅。
Save me. My Angel…
Damon牵起Angel的手，把自己的脸埋了进去，随后拉过Angel，把头埋在他身前。
Angel低下头，亲吻他的发顶。
两人正在温情脉脉，楼下忽然传来一声瓷器碎裂的声音。
Damon抬头，与Angel对视一眼，扬声叫: “Stefan？”
没人答话，Damon站起身，拉着Angel下楼。
Gilbert宅。
Jeremy第13次拨通Bonnie的电话，迎接他的却只有语音信箱。
Jeremy: “Come on, Bonnie. At least we should be able to talk about this.”
Jeremy无奈的挂上电话，床边站着的Anna说: “I shouldn’t be here.”
Jeremy: “No. Don’t say that. You just want to help.”
Anna惶恐的摇头，Jeremy伸手拍拍她的肩膀以示安慰。
拍完之后两人才突然怔住。
刚才，竟然真的拍到了！
Stefan的车里。
Stefan: “Sorry I missed first day at school. The house was such a mess.”
Elena: “Stop. Stefan. We both know whyyou are not at school.”
Stefan抿了抿唇，似乎是想自嘲的笑笑，低下了头。
Elena: “Hey,you’ll be ok. We survived. We survived from Klaus.”
Stefan: “Maybe. But that doesn’t mean I’m ok.”
Elena: “You can control it. You are stronger than that.”
Stefan摇了摇头: “At that day, at Angel’s party, do you know how hard I tried to control myself not to bite him”
Elena: “…”
Stefan: “Over the past two months, even though Klaus forced me to kill, to feed, but I, I liked it.” Stefan转过头看着Elena，看到她惊讶的眼神后终于自嘲的笑了, “That’s who I am.”
Salvatore宅。
Damon与Angel刚走下楼梯，就看到远处一个人影闪过。
Damon下意识的把Angel护到自己身后，慢慢走过去。
Angel瘪了瘪嘴，没说话，只是在人影再次划过的时候一把拉开Damon，抬手甩出一道银光。
“Ah!!! This’s hurt…”
Damon: “Mason？!!!”
Matt家。
Matt紧紧的抱住自己的妹妹。
Matt: “I felt… Vicki…oh my god…I can’t believe this.”
Vicki: “It worked!”
激动的拥抱过后，Vicki在房间里来回走着，欣喜的摸着每一样东西。
Vicki: “I can feel everything.”
Matt: “Witch didn’t mention this part？”
Vicki: “Makes sense. Our deal was that she’d help me do what I need to do.”
Matt终于觉得有些不对: “What are you talking about What deal, Vic？”
Vicki: “Well, if I want to stay here, I have to help her restore the balance. Klaus’s hybrids can’t be allowed to survive.”
Matt: “You can’t kill Tyler, Vicki.”
Vicki手握一个扳手转过身来: “Not Tyler, Matt. Elena is the key to creating the hybrids.”
Matt: “What？ Vicki, no!”
Matt想要拉住Vicki，她却回身重重的一下将Matt抽倒在地。
Vicki: “I’m sorry Mattie. But I want to stay.”
Salvatore宅。
书房里，Angel，Damon，Mason，三个人坐在三张沙发上。
Mason给自己灌了一大杯威士忌。
Damon无辜的看向Angel。
Angel回了他一个假笑。
Mason: “God I miss whisky. Are you ok if I beat him up？”
Damon摊开手，Angel: “As long as you don’t rip his heart out. You have two minutes.”
Mason跃跃欲试的看着Damon，Damon大叫: “Angel! Come on!”
Angel打了个响指，Mason饿狗扑食般扑了过去，Angel闲闲的说: “And please don’t break that china I like.”
Angel站起身给自己倒了杯酒，身后，Mason跟Damon扭打成一团。
Gilbert宅。
Elena下车后，Stefan对她笑了笑就开车走了。
Elena站在那里看了一会，转身进屋，没想到刚上楼就看到了……
Elena: “Anna？!”
车里。
Stefan想起Elena那个惊恐的表情，心里就一阵抽痛。
他自嘲的摇了摇头，无意间一看后视镜，一个金色直发的女孩笑眯眯地看着他。
保时捷356A在路上画了一个大大的S。
Stefan: “Lexi？!”
Bennett宅。
Caroline拉着Bonnie抱怨Tyler。Bonnie正想转移自己的注意力，也耐心听她讲。
电话再一次响起，Bonnie刚想关机，却发现是Matt的电话。
Bonnie: “Wait Matt, slow down…what did you do？”
Matt: “I screwed up Bonnie…”
沙发的一侧微微一沉。
Bonnie: “Grandma…”
Salvatore宅。
Angel递给Damon一杯血。
Damon赌气的瞪了他一眼——How can you let him beat your man!
Angel凉凉的看他——I know whyyou killed him.
Damon自知理亏，把一杯血一饮而尽，不开心的撅着嘴。
Angel懒得管他，对Mason说: “Can you explain yourself now？”
Mason活动一下手腕，显然对刚才胖揍Damon的过程还意犹未尽。
Mason: “I want an apology first.”
Damon翻了个大白眼。
Angel挑眉看他。
Damon不爽的撇嘴，但在Angel的眼神压力下还是说: “Ok… You are right. I didn’t have to kill you. I do a lot of things I didn’t have to do.”
Mason: “You call that an apology？”
Damon一副你奈我何的表情。
Mason向Angel一摆头: “Come on, like you apologise to him.”
Damon: “I love him!”
Angel咳嗽了一声，打断两人的互瞪，对Mason说: “That’s all he got.”
Mason: “Fine. I’m actually here for Tyler.”
Damon: “Your hybrid nephew.”
Mason: “Yes. He’s sired to Klaus.”
Angel终于坐直了身体: “What？”
Mason: “He doesn’t want to become a werewolf. So when Klaus turned him to a hybrid, free him from turning, he thanks him. Feel like he owns him. That’s called sired.”
Damon跟Angel交换了一下视线。
Damon: “What do you want to do.”
Mason: “I knew a weapon, to kill Klaus.”
车边。
Stefan: “Lexi! How can u be here… I miss you…”
Stefan紧紧的拥抱自己的知己好友。
Lexi: “So you’re still drinking, ha”
Stefan: “Sorry, but…”
Lexi: “Cut the crap. You can fight from Klaus’s compulsion. This should be a piece of cake. What’s wrong？”
Stefan: “…I don’t want to hurt her. Because I love her, and I believe she loves me.”
Lexi抱着手臂靠在车上: “Sounds so prefect.”
Stefan自嘲的低下头: “Hmm… Lexi, I saw her face when I said I’m a true ripper. I saw her face when I said Damon asked Angel on a date. I saw her face when she actually seeing Angel and Damon together.”
Lexi: “…”
Stefan抬起头，苦笑: “She has feeling for Damon.”
Bennett宅。
Bonnie握着祖母的手，忍不住泪流满面: “Grandma…I can’t believe you are here…”
Sheila微笑着看着Bonnie: “Now, stop your crying. We don’t have time for tears. Nice to see you again, Caroline.”
Caroline: “Hi Ms Sheila.”
Sheila: “A fair mess you made honey. Witches warned you there will be consequences bringing Jeremy back to life. But you did it anyway.”
泪水沿着Bonnie的脸颊流下: “I didn’t have a choice. I love him. I…I couldn’t just let him go…”
Sheila: “I understand. But you opened a door to the other side. There an old witch there. She took advantage of it. She took advantage of you honey. When Matt Donavan offered a foot hole to his sister, that door is wide open, gives a free pass for anybody with unfinished business.”
Bonnie: “What does that witch want？”
Sheila: “That’s original vampire business, not yours. I don’t want you get in the middle with that. I’m here, because you upset the balance of nature. And it’s your duty to set it right. We need to close that door.”
Gilbert宅。
Elena一边瞪着Anna一边接起Caroline的电话: “How do we do that？”
Caroline: “Obviously the old witch can drive power from this side because her talisman.”
Elena: “Talisman？ My necklace？”
Caroline: “It’s some juju power source. You are not gonna like this. But Bonnie needs to destroy it.”
Elena: “I just saw Anna in my brother’s bedroom. And I’m completely ok with that.”
Caroline: “Really？! Still？”
Elena: “I got that necklace. I’ll go to Bonnie’s right now.”
Elena挂掉电话，近乎凶狠的看着Anna。
Jeremy: “Elena…”
Elena: “You need to disappear or whatever you ghost do.”
Jeremy: “It’s not her fault.”
Elena: “You are right. It’s yours. How did this even happen! You know what？ We can talk about it after I help Bonnie to send her away.”
Elena最后瞪了Anna一眼，转身下楼。
Lockwood cell.
Mason带着Angel和Damon走进地下室。
Damon: “What are we looking for？”
Mason: “There is a Lockwood family ledge about a weapon that can kill an original. It has been buried for decades.”
Damon: “Then how do you know this？”
Mason: “There is not much thing to do in the other world but sit around watch other people screw things up.”
Damon凿开了一面砖墙，三人走进了一条地道。
Angel: “Mason？”
Mason拎着一盏油灯在前面开路: “Ha？”
Angel: “If you want to use that weapon against Klaus, why tell me？”
Mason: “Because you are the one I’m actually trust.”
Angel: “Do tell.”
Mason停下脚步，回头看着Angel: “Because I saw the wayyou saved Damon. And I wish, I wish someone had done that for me. So yeah, I know you wouldn’t screw this up.”
马路边。
Lexi: “She has a little bit crash on Damon, so what？ You are the one who disappear from her life for a whole summer!”
Stefan: “I know. I’m not blaming her or anything. It just… Lexi, her love, our love is the only thing that makes me human. If that is gone…I…”
Lexi: “Hey! That is not gone. Stop sobbing like 12 year-old. For the first time in your life, Damon is not your romance rival. For the first time in your life,you can have both your girlfriend and your brother.” Lexi撇了撇嘴， “Or maybe, also have a brother-in-law.”
Stefan终于笑了出来。
Lexi: “Get yourself back. And I’m sure that little human girl will fall for you over and over. Because that Stefan, is epic.”
Gilbert宅。
Elena急匆匆的上车，没注意到车边有一个打翻的油桶。
在Elena拧车钥匙的时候，靠着后墙的Vicki吹亮了自己手里的烟头，丢到了地上。
一道火焰蔓延开去……
Lockwood地下。
Damon: “And you think you can forgive me that easy.”
Mason: “You know what the other side like We are all alone. Watched the people we left behind. We regrated our decisions. That’s it. I can’t change what happened to me. But maybe I can change what would happen to Tyler. I don’t need revenge. I need redemption.”
Gilbert宅前。
被泼了汽油的车开始燃烧了起来，Elena一边咳嗽着一边挣扎着想出去，车门却被Vicki反锁了。
向女巫的白房子敢去顺道来接Elena的Matt看见熊熊火光急忙赶了过来，Jeremy和Ric也急匆匆的下楼。
Jeremy: “Elena!”
Matt: “Vicki how can you do this!”
Matt拉开了Vicki，Jeremy和Ric合力把Elena拖了出来，车子在众人身后爆炸。
Elena把项链塞给Jeremy，让他带给Bonnie。
Jeremy看了一眼远处眼中噙着泪水的Anna，转身走了。
Matt痛苦的看着Vicki。
Lockwood地下。
Damon走着走着，忽然撞上了一堵无形的墙。
Damon: “What the…”
Angel伸手，也被拦住了。
Mason轻松走了过去: “Looks like you guys are not invited in.”
Angel: “Now I know I’m a vampire.”
Mason继续向前走了几步，在一个斜斜的洞口前停下了脚步。
Angel按住Damon乱摸的手: “What do you get there？”
Mason: “There is something on the wall…”
狼叔高高举起了手上的油灯。
一大面石墙只有简单的开凿痕迹，上面粗略如简笔画的图案也表明了它的历史恐怕远远超过了这个小镇，不过真的让Angel皱紧了眉的是边上的一排名字。
Damon: “What is that？”
为了看清石壁上的刻字，Angel的腰几乎侧向弯过90度，Damon的手不安分的捏他翘起来的屁屁，可Angel已经顾不上揍他了。
Angel: “…That’s Viking… for Nicklaus…”
女巫的白房子。
Jeremy匆匆跑下楼梯: “Bonnie!”
Bonnie接过他手中的项链，转身扔进了火炉之中，念起了咒语。
Sheila不知何时走了过来，握住Bonnie的手，与她一起念咒。
炉火中的项链迸发出星星点点的蓝光。
Gilbert宅前。
Matt: “I can’t let you hurt people.”
Vicki: “Mattie, I just don’t want to be alone…”
小镇的集市上。
独自徘徊的Anna抬起头，人群边站着她的母亲。
Lockwood地下。
Angel: “Mason!”
油灯摔落到了地上。
路边。
Lexi抬头望天。
Stefan: “Lexi what’s wrong”
Lexi: “Be yourself, Stefan.”
Stefan: “Lexi!!”
女巫的白房子。
项链变成了扁扁的一团。
Sheila握紧Bonnie的手: “You are stronger than all this. I’m so proud of you.”
Bonnie忍住眼中的泪水，左手边，已经没有人。
Lockwood宅。
Caroline不肯接电话，Tyler郁闷的扔下了手机，一转身，门口站着的正是Rebekah。
Tyler: “What are you doing here？”
Rebekah: “I have something for you.”
Rebekah随手推进来一个年轻女孩，脖子上被咬开了，Rebekah伸手摸下一点鲜血，送进自己嘴里。
Tyler的身体开始颤抖。
Rebekah笑了笑，拉起女孩的手腕咬了下去。
Tyler克制不住的飞奔过来，重重咬在了女孩脖子上。
Charlotte。
Katherine拖过一具尸体，鲜血滴滴答答的滴在Mikael脸上。
棺材中的Mikael猛然睁开了眼睛，将铁链挣得哗哗作响。
Mikael: “Get it off me!”
Katherine皱了皱眉，只能把人推倒到一边。
Mikael平静了下来，慢慢的说: “I apologise for my outburst. It would have made more sense had you know that I’ve been denying myself human blood for as long as I can remember. Why is it that you awoke me？”
Katherine: “I thought you might know how to kill Klaus. But something tells me that I’ve been sorely misinformed.”
Mikael试图动一动，可身上缠满了铁链: “Would you mind helping me with these I can assure you there’s no way I can kill Klaus from beneath them.”
Katherine: “Does that you mean you do know how to kill him？”
Mikael: “I can kill Klaus. And I will.”
Katherine沉思了一下，伸手扯开了Mikael身上的铁链。
Mikael: “Aaa…Thank you.”
Katherine挑眉看着Mikael仍旧干枯状的手: “A little blood will grease those muscles up real quick. Just saying.”
Mikael: “I don’t feed on living things.”
Katherine: “Then what do you eat？”
Mikael看着Katherine，忽然脸色一变将她拉了下来，大口吸食着她的血。
Katherine的上半身被拖进了棺材，只有两只手在挣扎着，慢慢的，也停了下来。
女巫的白房子。
Jeremy: “Bonnie…I won’t be with a ghost. I can do this.”
Bonnie摇了摇头正想说什么，身后的火炉内火花四溅，两人一起回头，灰烬内，Elena的项链完好无损。
