  • It is simply sad to hear him say \"I could be ordinary\"
Sherlock Holmes, so brilliant, both mentally and physically. He is very much a prince, his eyes, as if the most beautiful fragment of the misty skies of London, you could see the world in it, minute and vast and clear. Sherlock Holmes is a mystery, even a woman like Irene Adler would fall for him, and relentless pursuit him. And if I may quote from the cabnbie driver from episode 1, he is very much indeed a \"proper genius\". Such a man is the closest being from god. Ingenius, dazzling, blinding, like flames that explode in a shower. Such a blazoning figure could , however, only see one man. John, a man soft, gentle and tamed like a teddy bear, is the only person he could cared for.
It touched me, when a god-like figure as he is, willingly vows to be ordinary, to blend into the background when he had despised such plainess so obviously since the biginning. Sherlock prides himself for being clever, and he praises cleverness as well. When he first decided to be ordinary, to change himself into something that he look down to because he wanted to give John what he wanted, the way he is willing to become one of John\'s kind, a daily bloke, is almost sacrificial.
If any man is willing to transform himself for someone, then this is love. Not fondness, not admiration, love.
