　　‘And what are Slytherin and Hufflepuff?’

‘School houses. There’s four. Everyone says Hufflepuff are a lot
o’ duffers, but –’

‘I bet I’m in Hufflepuff,’ said Harry gloomily.

‘Better Hufflepuff than Slytherin,’ said Hagrid darkly. ‘There’s not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn’t in Slytherin. You-Know-Who was one.’
海格是說“巫師去了蛇院後大多數都變壞了”還舉了伏地魔當例子，所以他覺得去獾院也比去蛇院好。話說，海格到底知不知道當年嫁禍他的人就是少年伏地魔啊？如果知道的話，那他討厭蛇院還真的是沒話講了。以偏蓋全是人性。
‘Gryffindor,’ said Ron. Gloom seemed to be settling on him again.

‘Mum and Dad were in it, too. I don’t know what they’ll say if I’m not. I don’t suppose Ravenclaw would be too bad, but imagine if they put me in Slytherin.’

‘That’s the house Vol– I mean, You-Know-Who was in?’

‘Yeah,’ said Ron. He flopped back into his seat, looking
depressed.

Ron害怕進蛇院，因為老伏在裡面待過。重點是“伏地魔”而不是蛇院。

Perhaps it was Harry’s imagination, after all he’d heard about Slytherin, but he thought they looked an unpleasant lot.

他對蛇院的感覺就是──讓人很不愉快。
可以肯定魔法石對蛇院所使用的詞彙都跟諧邪惡沒有關係。而這些形容都是來自於蛇院學生給人的印象。
