1、第一章

　　第一章
　　世界是别人的而我只是一只花瓶一个摆设。
　　唯一能够记起我的恐怕只有那位从小照顾我的佣人吧，只有她会记得问我有没有吃饭 ，退烧了吗？
　　我的母亲，恐怕只是知道，我是她的一个儿子，一个能够留在这里的唯一的筹码。父亲恐怕一年也难得记得自己还有我这么一个儿子，我只是他众多孩子里面的一个而已。
　　如果不是出生在这样的家庭 ，可能根本无法了解这样的感受。
　　母亲只是这个家里的二太太，父亲一共有10个孩子，数不清的女人。当我很多时候回忆过去的时候，在记忆里我找不到任何可以值得回忆的地方，我总是一个人在自己的房间里，有时候怔怔地看着房门，可是从来没有打开过，除了喊我吃饭的佣人六姨。
　　每次过年的时候，许多人在屋外放烟花，哥哥和姐姐都会在外面大声地笑大声地说着什么开心的话题，而我只会站在屋内，趴着窗户上看着那些烟花，在空中绽放消失。
　　母亲站在不起眼的角落，偶尔看向我，但是从来没有过来，哪怕是只是靠近。
　　很多年以后，我学会原谅学会体谅母亲，可是那些逝去的童年，逝去的时间一去不复返。
　　14岁的时候，我被送到英国学习商业方面的课程，父亲总是把所有的孩子送去学习他那个帝国所需要的人才，期望能够培养将来的继承人。
　　每天每天与寂寞作伴，那个时候华人在国外还没有那么普遍，那些白人的小孩从来不会和我说话，即使是说话也是在背后指指点点，这样一个贵族的学校，出现这样肤色的我是个异类。在那些年里，我没有朋友，只有书本陪着我，在学校的每一个角落，对于习惯寂寞的我来说，这并不是痛苦的事情。
　　我很自在地学习，如果说没有什么意外，也许真的会学习玩所有的课程，然后回来在父亲的帝国里做一个普通的默默无闻的零件，我知道我的哥哥们都很优秀。他们都在争取着能够继承这样的一个帝国，可是我从来没有想过。我已经习惯了安静地存在，没有人发觉。
　　因为怕受到白人小孩的欺负，父亲特意在学校外面给我安排了佣人和房子。这一点，我又不得不说在父亲有的时候真的是考虑周到的人，恐怕这也是他能够在商业的战场里屹立不倒的原因。
　　我捧着书，在回去的路上，遇到了这辈子最震撼的场面。
　　那一刻我的心一直都不能平静，那是一个没有双腿的男人，周围围了很多人。他的歌声很感人，声线沙哑，唱歌的时候，特别专注，虽然只是简单的吉他伴奏，可是却比任何华丽的乐队更让我感动。

　　我忽然从内心感到了震撼，他一首首唱完，直到深夜。当我把身上所有的钱给他的时候，他只是微笑着拿了一张钱，其余又放回了我的手中。

　　我第一有了要自己活着的感觉。
